founding story
2008: When Aameen, Rochan and Sidharth became teammates
Aameen, Rochan & Sid co-founded Granimals in 2021, but that’s not where the story began. The story began in 2008, when Aameen & Rochan become teammates through their common love of football and desire to make a career from it
2011: Ugly fall to the ground
Rochan was the first to tear his ACL out of the three. In 2011, Aameen and Rochan were at the selection camps of the national team when Aameen saw Rochan take an ugly fall to the crowd. He rushed to get a block of ice to help relieve the pain but little did they know, they were writing the script of their future
2011-2015: Shattered dreams
After Rochan Aameen tore his ACL while playing for Greensboro College NC, USA followed by Sidharth.
Between the age of 16 and 23 (2011-2015) all three of them suffered a combined total of 8 major surgeries to overcome injuries and keep their Football dreams alive.
2016: The Granimal Mindset
The hardest times create the toughest people. And lasting relationships. All three recovered from their injuries like Granimals and bounced back to return to the field to play professionally in the Indian I League.
2018: Rochan and Sidharth decided
Rochan and Sidharth decided to hang their boots and pursue careers in different fields but the topic of injuries, gaps and issues in the rehabilitation system globally was always a common talking point amongst the three
2021: Granimals was born
Watching rapid innovation in the field of digital physical fitness Aameen Rochan and Sidharth noticed that no one was either thinking about or fixing the injury rehabilitation landscape which is still archaic in today’s day and age. And just like that the idea to create the world's first mindset-led digital injury rehabilitation was born.
